Lime
Green on Bright Pink
What
you need:
An
unknown joint-creator
A
cocktail of mixed emotional states: agitation, isolation and
curiosity
To
go to places you would probably never go and talk to people you would
probably never meet if it wasn't for the making of this solo
A
way to go about it:
Observe
your habits and thought patterns
Ask
yourself what's your relationship at present to the place where you
are developing this work
Displace
your attention to a nearby context that has obvious similarities yet
operates differently than the one you are currently engaged in
Go
and make some field work in and around the context you find yourself
in
Mix
what you find with what you have

Inter-mission
What
you need:
A
joint-creator
One
or two video cameras (HD, laptop or mobile phone cam, any other kind
of camera)
A
timer
The
wish to frame your daily creative impulses through the words of
somebody else
The
blind trust that the result will be beyond amazing and worthwhile
sharing with a wider audience
A
way to go about it:
The
initiator (joint-creator A) sends the first motto in the form of a
sentence (based on an issue that she or he is busy with)
Joint-creator
B does the first 1 minute 2 second video as a response to the motto +
writes an intertitle and sends it to joint-creator A (by email, sms,
on a letter etc)
Joint-creator
A makes a 1 minute 2 second video in response to the previous
intertitle + writes a new intertitle for the video he/she just made
and send it to joint creator B
The
procedure repeats until each joint-creator has done 5 videos with the
duration of 1 minute 2 seconds each
None
of the joint-creators ever sees or talks about the videos that are
being made until the editing. The communication process is mediated
exclusively through the intertitles
Joint
creators get together for editing session in which the videos and
intertitles are put together in a sequence according to the
chronological order of the making.

What
you need:
A
joint-creator and your artistic ghosts
To
be physically alone in the chosen working place
The
availability to work as a medium for the expression of absent bodies
The
willingness to be striked by sudden and unforeseen incarnation of an
historical entity and to let go of all the performing materials
that your joint creator and you have generated so far
A
way to go about it:
Never
meet with your joint creator in the studio
Spend
at least one month discussing about how you are going to mediate your
non-presencial joint-creation
Determine
a specific number of sessions (recomendation: aprox. 3 hours each)
for the coexistance with those who are not materially present
Keep
feedbacking each other on what is happening and on what is not
happening
Let
yourself be channeled
Consider
to use the materials that you and your joint creator have generated
in a future project
